A classic discussion – What comes first, Business or Brand Strategy?👇

“If a company wants to be regarded in a certain way (brand identity), everything must support that desired identity.

Does the corporate/business strategy and the company’s execution against it support that desired identity? If so, then the desired brand identity may be appropriate (obviously, there are a lot of other considerations). If not, the brand identity will not be attainable until alignment is achieved.

Alternatively, it’s appropriate to use the desired brand identity as an “end state” for company management and employees to visualize, to drive change and support the corporate strategy. Establish a strategic process to allow your company to realize that vision over time. The company strategy and brand strategy grow together toward a common direction.”
